HD-TVI (High Definition Transport Video Interface) is a DSP-TVI technology developed by Techpoint and the chipset was sold to Intersil. Because of this being an open source, hundreds of manufacturers are putting this technology into their new products. HD-TVI is backwards compatible. It is easy to upgrade your existing analog system to an HD system with long distance transmission capability up to 500M (1640’).

HD1080p is a set of HDTV high-definition video modes characterized by 1080 horizontal lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, as opposed to interlaced, as is the case with the 1080i display standard.

IP is an Internet Protocol camera, or IP camera – a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance, and which, unlike analog closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, can send and receive data via a computer network and the Internet.

Megapixel (MPx) means one million pixels. The resolution of digital cameras and camera phones is often measured in megapixels. For example, a 5 MPx camera can produce images with five million total pixels

PTZs (pan-tilt-zoom camera) can be either Megapixel or IP – a camera capable of remote directional and zoom control. In television production, PTZ controls are used with video cameras and can be remotely controlled by automation systems and software.
